Alumni

Department of Chemistry University of Oxford

Welcome to the Chemistry Department's Alumni Website.

The Department of Chemistry set up an Alumni network for all former undergraduates and postgraduates in 2012.

With a wide range of events and communications throughout the year, we hope that this network will help our alumni maintain and strengthen their relationships with the Department and with each other.

The Oxford Alumni Weekend

Oxford Alumni Weekend, Saturday September 16th, 4-5pm, Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory Lecture Theatre, South Parks Road, OX1 3QR

Chemistry plays an essential part in the search for clean and plentiful energy and pioneering research at Oxford led to the first Li-ion batteries. Professor Steve Faulkner, Professor Fraser Armstrong and Professor Andy Weller gave short talks and presentations on how Oxford chemists are contributing to a secure and sustainable energy future.  This was followed by a drinks reception for Chemistry alumni in the beautiful and historic Abbot’s Kitchen.

The Dyson Perrins Laboratory Centenary Celebrations

Read about the history of this remarkable laboratory.

A day of celebrations was held on Saturday September 17th 2016 to celebrate the 100th birthday of the Dyson Perrins Laboratory.   We were delighted to welcome back many alumni and friends of the Department for talks, tours of the department and a cocktail reception.
